Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon honey (optional for extra sweetness)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Roast Sprouts: Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender and golden brown, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Make the Glaze: While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sweet chili glaze. In a small bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and honey (if using). Whisk until well combined.

Glaze the Sprouts: Once the Brussels sprouts are nicely roasted, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sweet chili glaze over the hot Brussels sprouts and toss until they are thoroughly coated.

Serve: Transfer the glazed Brussels sprouts to a serving platter. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for a bright finish and added crunch.

Enjoy: Serve warm as a delicious side dish or a healthy snack!
