Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

Juice of 1 lime

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Flour tortillas (for serving)

Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced chicken with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated with the spices.

Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken strips. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Promptly remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and toss everything together. Allow it to heat for another 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with freshly chopped cilantro, and serve with warm flour tortillas. Add your favorite toppings, if desired.
