Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients: Start by prepping the shrimp and asparagus. Make sure the shrimp is peeled and deveined. Trim and cut the asparagus into 2-inch pieces.

Cook Asparagus: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the asparagus and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set aside.

Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine: Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip them over. Add the sautéed asparagus back into the skillet.

Add Flavor: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and asparagus, add lemon zest, and gently toss everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and everything is heated through.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Pair with lemon wedges for an extra burst of freshness.
