Quick Beef Stroganoff Over Egg Noodles

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 cups egg noodles

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sour cream

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Cook the Egg Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced beef with salt and pepper, then add it to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

      Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

        Make the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the veggies in the skillet and stir to combine. Gradually pour in the beef broth, continuously stirring until the mixture thickens. Add the Worcestershire sauce and mix well.

          Combine Ingredients: Lower the heat and return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the sour cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
