Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Chicken Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon zest, and half of the lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade.

Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and ensure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for deeper flavor).

Sauté Green Beans: While the chicken marinates, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the green beans and season them lightly with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, just until they start to become tender but still crisp. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Sear the Chicken: In the same skillet, add the marinated chicken breasts. Sear them for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

Combine in the Skillet: Once the chicken is seared, add the sautéed green beans back to the skillet with the chicken. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the top.

Bake to Perfection: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the green beans are tender.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy the flavorful combination of garlic, herbs, and zesty lemon!
