Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Aromatics: Stir in the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add Broccoli: Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for about 3 minutes until they start to become tender.

Mix in Liquids: Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix everything together.

Incorporate Rice: Stir in the cooked rice until evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Melt the Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat, and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and combine thoroughly.

Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot straight from the skillet.
