1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: fresh chives or parsley, finely chopped for garnish

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

      Roll out the dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Do not separate the triangles; keep the dough in one large rectangle. Pinch seams together to form a single sheet of dough.

        Cut into triangles: Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice the dough into smaller triangles (about 4 inches wide at the base). You should get approximately 8 triangles from the dough sheet.

          Add the filling: Place a tablespoon of the sausage and cheese mixture at the base of each triangle. Carefully roll each triangle from the base to the tip, creating a crescent shape while enclosing the filling.
