Ingredients

1 bag of tortilla chips (about 10 oz)

1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey (seasoned with chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder)

1 can (15 oz) chili beans (drained and rinsed)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned, drained)

1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (pickled or fresh, adjust to taste)

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (for topping)

1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Fresh cilantro leaves (for garnish, optional)

Cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Tortilla Chips: Arrange half of the tortilla chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure there are no overlapping chips for even baking.

      Layer the Toppings:

        - Spoon the cooked ground beef or turkey evenly over the chips.

          - Next, add a generous tablespoon of chili beans on top of the meat.

            - Scatter the diced tomatoes and jalapeños across the chips evenly.

              - Lastly, sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese generously over the entire tray.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the chips are golden brown.

Garnish: Remove the nacho bites from the oven. Allow them to cool slightly before drizzling sour cream or Greek yogurt over the top. Scatter the sliced green onions and cilantro leaves for an added freshness.

Serve: Use a spatula to carefully lift the nacho bites and serve them warm on a platter. Enjoy with additional sour cream or jalapeño slices on the side if desired!
