1 block (14 oz) firm tofu

¼ cup olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish

Prepare the Tofu: Start by pressing the tofu block to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Once pressed, cut the tofu into ¾-inch thick steaks.

    Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.

      Marinate the Tofu: Place the tofu steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring all sides are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
