Ingredients

For the Cereal Milk Base:

1 cup cornflakes

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cookie Squares:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup crushed cornflakes (for topping)

Instructions

Make the Cereal Milk:

    - In a medium bowl, combine the cornflakes and whole milk. Let it sit for 30 minutes to infuse the flavors. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract all the milk. Discard the solids and stir in the yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract. Set aside.

      Preheat Oven:

        - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.

          Prepare Cookie Dough:

            - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

              Combine Dry Ingredients:

                - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.

                  Add Cereal Milk:

                    - Fold the cereal milk mixture into the dough until fully incorporated. If you’re using chocolate chips, gently mix them in now.

                      Spread in Pan:

                        - Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth the top. Sprinkle the crushed cornflakes evenly over the surface of the dough.

                          Bake:

                            - Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is just set. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out slightly moist but not raw.

                              Cool and Cut:

                                - Remove from the oven and let the cookie squares cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then, lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into squares.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Enjoy your Frozen Yogurt Cereal Milk Cookie Squares at room temperature, or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for a cool treat later!
