1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 whole wheat pita bread pockets

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cucumber, diced

1 red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Feta cheese, crumbled (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.

    Cook the Chicken: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear (internal temperature should be 165°F/75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

      Prepare the Pita Pockets: While the chicken is resting, warm the whole wheat pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for about 15 seconds to enhance their pliability.

        Assemble the Wraps: Begin by placing equal amounts of sliced chicken in each pita pocket. Top with halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, and sliced red onion. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and sprinkle with crumbled feta and chopped parsley for added flavor if desired.
