Easy Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

1 pound (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

1 bell pepper, sliced (red, yellow, or green)

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas, trimmed

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

2 green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or noodles for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced sirloin, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes to enhance the flavor.

    Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, wash and slice the bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas. Set aside.

      Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

        Stir-Fry the Beef: Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

          Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the broccoli, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.

            Combine and Season: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

              Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions for garnish, and serve hot over cooked rice or noodles if desired.
