One of my favorite creations that exemplifies this is the Crunchy Pickle Chicken Wrap. The first time I made these wraps was on a sunny Saturday afternoon, craving something that was quick yet bursting with flavor. As I rummaged through my fridge, I stumbled upon some leftover chicken, a jar of dill pickles, and a few other ingredients that seemed to call out to me. After a bit of mixing and rolling, I crafted a dish that has since become a staple in my household. The delightful crunch of fried onions paired with the tangy pickles and creamy filling is a combination that never fails to impress.

Crunchy Pickle Chicken Wraps

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1 cup dill pickles, chopped

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 large flour tortillas (or your choice of wraps)

1 cup mixed greens (arugula, spinach, or lettuce)

1/2 cup crispy fried onions (for extra crunch)

Optional: hot sauce, for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped dill pickles, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and creamy.

    Assemble the Wraps: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken filling into the center of the tortilla, leaving about an inch around the edges.

      Add Greens and Crunch: Top the chicken filling with a handful of mixed greens and a sprinkle of crispy fried onions for that extra crunch.

        Wrap It Up: Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, sealing in the filling. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

          Toast (Optional): For an extra crispy exterior, you can place the assembled wraps seam-side down in a heated skillet over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

            Serve: Slice the wraps in half diagonally and serve with a side of hot sauce if you like a little kick. Enjoy your crunchy, tangy masterpiece!
