Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

Cook the Linguine:

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

      Sauté the Shrimp:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp is pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

          Make the Cream Sauce:

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low, and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes). If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

              Combine:

Add the cooked linguine and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Add lemon zest and juice, mixing until everything is well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.

                  Serve and Garnish:

Plate the creamy garlic Parmesan shrimp linguine, garnishing each serving with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
