Ingredients

2 (9-ounce) packages frozen cheese ravioli

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

24 ounces marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a little olive oil.

Cook the ravioli: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the frozen cheese ravioli according to package instructions (usually about 4-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Prepare the spinach mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Assemble the bake: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Layer half of the cooked ravioli on top, followed by half of the spinach mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli and spinach mixture, finishing with a generous topping of marinara sauce.

Top it off: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top of the marinara sauce.

Bake the dish: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Cheesy Spinach & Cheese Ravioli Bake!
