Cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Bake

1 lb ground beef

8 slices of crispy cooked bacon, chopped

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sour cream

4 cups frozen tater tots

½ cup pickles, diced (optional)

½ cup ketchup (for serving)

½ cup mustard (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain excess fat if needed.

      Add Bacon and Season: Stir in the chopped crispy bacon and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

        Combine Cheeses and Sour Cream: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and sour cream. Stir until well combined.

          Layer Tater Tots: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread about half of the frozen tater tots in an even layer.

            Layer Beef Mixture: Spoon the beef and bacon mixture over the tater tots, spreading it evenly.

              Add Cheese Mixture: Dollop the cheesy sour cream mixture over the beef layer and spread it out gently.

                Top with Remaining Tots: Finish with the remaining tater tots layered on top of the cheese mixture.

                  Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

                    Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Top with diced pickles if desired and serve with ketchup and mustard on the side.
