Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh herbs (such as parsley or cilantro) for garnish

Optional: Dipping sauces (like spicy mayo or tahini dressing)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into even-sized fries, about ¼ inch thick. Try to make them as uniform as possible for even cooking.

Season the Fries: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the sweet potato fries and toss until they are well coated in the seasoning mixture.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded for optimal crispiness.

Bake the Fries: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through cooking, until they are golden-brown and crispy on the edges.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the fries from the oven and let them cool slightly. Optionally sprinkle with fresh herbs for a touch of color and flavor. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
