Ingredients

For the Apple Chips:

2 large apples (Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith work well)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier version)

For the Cinnamon Dip:

½ cup plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 200°F (95°C). This low temperature will help in dehydrating the apple slices.

    Prepare the Apples:

      - Core the apples and slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick. If you have a mandoline slicer, this tool works great for even slices.

        - In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.

          Mix Cinnamon Sugar:

            - In a small bowl, combine the sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well to ensure even distribution.

              Coat Apple Slices:

                - Arrange the apple slices on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they’re not overlapping.

                  - Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the apple slices.

                    Bake:

                      - Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, flipping the apple slices halfway through. Bake until they are crisp but not burnt. Keep an eye on them, as baking times may vary based on thickness and moisture content.

                        Prepare the Cinnamon Dip:

                          - While the apple chips are baking, mix the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir until smooth and well combined.

                            Cool and Serve:

                              - Once the apple chips are crisp, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely. Serve alongside the cinnamon yogurt dip for a sweet and crunchy treat.
